Poor old Pip has tonsillitis again, which isn’t much fun for her (or us). And I swear she’s grown about an inch in the last month. Some of her 6-9 month clothes, specifically trousers, which were starting to skim her ankles in January are now only just below her knees. These mustard jeans are size 18-24 months, and whilst clearly on the larger side, really aren’t too far off.
Pip can point now. (and make a rocker sign with her fore and little fingers extended. looks puzzled when we fall about laughing). She can eat raisins from the box, delicately picking them out one by one and popping them in her mouth, much in the manner that I assume an anteater eats ants. Every day she is nearer to walking, cruising along the sofa or leaning up against the coffee table, examining the coasters. She points to herself and says “Ad-der Ad-der” and goes mad when Daddy comes in, shouting “Dad-ad-ad” “Dad-ad-ad”, although it’s not clear whether or not that quite means Daddy. Last week she said her first proper two syllable word, “panda” and laughs and squeaks her toy panda. Coincidence, maybe. But it’s still two syllables.
She can also easily remove not just her socks, but untie the laces on her shoes in order to remove them to remove her socks. Up until this week, she would only destroy towers of cups. This week for the first time, she put the cup back onto the upturned stack of cups. And sits there fascinated by her books. She’s particularly fond of the Pantone ones. That and Peepo.
