I can’t believe it’s been a whole year since my baby shower (which I will post more photos of soon…). anyway, last weekend I went to a baby shower for twin girls. it was a bring and share party, so everyone brought some food (Marto made sausage rolls for me to take). once the food was eaten we played games and then Fiona set about opening her (many, many beautiful) presents, including the nappy cake which my sisters and mum and I made on behalf of several of the guests. when it’s twins, you can never have too many nappies!
some of the games included tasting and guessing baby food, a pinata, competitions to see who could drink through a baby bottle the fastest, guessing the weights of the twins and (pictured) putting an old fashioned washable nappy on a baby doll. I had no idea and had to be shown how by my mum, who got distracted talking to someone part way through but could still automatically do the nappy and pin even when facing the other way! I’m so glad that the washables we use for Pip don’t have pins.
it was a lovely afternoon and I hope Fiona enjoyed it as much as we did.
as ever, there were lots of guests other than me and the mum-to-be but I haven’t posted those ones as there were about 30 people there and I couldn’t get round everyone to ask their permission.
