I was so sad to read that Cash’s name tapes have gone into administration after making name tapes for 140 years.
I think Pip must be the third or even fourth generation of our family to have these name tapes.
I certainly have items in my possession which are marked with my mother’s name tape, as well as some things with my own. As soon as Pip started nursery I ordered 50 of her name tapes, blue lettering, and set about sewing them into her clothes (and onto her rabbit). Receiving the name tapes, and sewing them in, was one of the few things that I have done which made me feel truly mother-like.
