Daddy, Mummy, Baby (or, hello, I’m still here)

yes, I’m a blogging cliche. not only did I get Pip her own Hunter wellies, but I promised all sorts and never delivered.

thank you to all the mums that have responded to my call for working mums.I think I have responded to you all individually, to say that I will be in touch, and I will be. anyone else that’s interested, drop me an email.

thank you also to those who expressed an interest in me doing another 30 day wardrobe challenge. I was hoping to do this for September and then September arrived and I still hadn’t organised something. so, given we are away for part of October and I don’t intend to take 14 different outfit options on holiday, we will start this next week. (post will follow)

I enjoyed August, but I’m glad it’s over. I’ve found it a struggle. We moved offices, so I had a new commute and environ to get used to. They took away our desks and gave us a teeny locker and no other personal space. hot desking etc. all fine, but takes time to get used to. I’ve had persistent migraines. Family members have been away and others ill. My time seems (willingly) spent on Pip, work, familial support. My stack of unwritten blog posts increases, my stack of unread magazines has grown large enough by the side of my bed to make a useful table.

Pip turned into a toddler. Suddenly we can converse (if limited conversations involving repeatedly identifying body parts are your idea of a good chat) and she has become a tiny person. a tiny person who now insists on sitting at the table with us (preloved wooden chair is suddenly essential and on it’s way) and whose favourite words are “no” and “more”. more on that soon.
