Happy New Year!

in Copenhagen on New Years Eve.

As I’m sure you’ve noted from the sporadic posting, life has been pretty busy. I had just under 2 weeks off over Christmas and New Year, starting Christmas Eve and culminating with my birthday on 5 January. I had all sorts of blogging plans, and then somehow it was Sunday and we’d just got back to our flat and I still hadn’t opened my blogging dashboard. (I didn’t unplug totally though, I was still tweeting and Instagramming – although I did succeed in leaving my work phone in a drawer in the flat so I wasn’t tempted to look at it).

It won’t be news to those of you who do follow me on Twitter that Pip has taken two major developmental stages this holidays: climbing out of her cot & the resulting difficulties with sleeping, bedtimes and 4am wakings & potty training. More on both of those in due course.

Meanwhile, I have been thinking about my goals for this year. They include the usual organising, de-cluttering, being on time for things however I have also decided to make some big changes including attempting a daily commute by bike. I will write more on this soon; at present I am trying to decide what bike to get…

Lastly, two things:

I would be super grateful if you could take a second to vote for my talented sister-in-law, Teija Eilola who has been nominated for an Elle Style award for new Nordic talent. Voting is really quick and easy and can be done here. Thank you so much!

We also have a winner in the House of Fraser Christmas tree competition, which was Tamalyn (who has been emailed directly. Thank you all for entering and congratulations to Tamalyn. Don’t forget that I am also giving away some The Body Shop goodies this week.
