And no, Pip is not her real name, but we do call her it. She was born after 12 and a half hours of labour and just half an hour after the scheduled meeting with the consultant to discuss c sections. Much like both her mum and dad, she likes to work to a deadline. We stayed in hospital for four days as Pip had jaundice following her birth. Both of us were surprised and delighted to have a daughter. Birth story to follow if people are interested.

I see both you and her daddy in her looks.
Another online friend of mine was calling her baby “Lemon” while she was pregnant, because that was the size of her at the beginning.
That little girl is going to be three this year and those who knew still call her “Lemon”.
It is funny, when I sent a giftcard I had to think for a second what the child’s real name was. LOL

Yes to the birth story! And referring to the pain from stitches you mentioned in your last post – me too! my midwife recommended drops of lavender oil under your maternity pad – apparently it helps them heal and the smell is calming too. The tears will ease up too – I’m too tired to cry now 😉
