Lulu at Pencils & Prams nominated me for the liebster award (which apparently means dearest in German and originated there in 2010). Thanks Lulu! Essentially this is a meme whereby you share facts and answer questions from the person who gave you your award and then pass it on. Lulu’s version mentions 11 facts, 11 questions and 11 bloggers who have less than 200 followers; other incarnations involve 3-5 facts and less than 3000 followers. Like all kinds of good memes though, it’s what you make of it and one is free to accept, pass on and answer at will.
So, here goes. 11 facts about me (and a link to some other memes I’ve participated in the past).
. I’ve been blogging since 2006 which is equal to the time that I spent at secondary school.
. My three favourite material luxuries are our cleaner, my Vogue subscription and expensive moisturiser.
. I am scared of taking my buggy on an escalator. I will go to great lengths to avoid this.
. I’m not sure I’m capable of going in a vintage shop without leaving with something. My latest find is an enormous wool Liberty scarf.
. I’m starting a course in writing a children’s book in the summer.
. I check my emails far too often (and can’t remember what life was like pre-iPhone) although I went to university pre-facebook.
. My husband is a wine merchant. Pre-baby, I used to be a lawyer.
. I frequently wear hot pink lipstick.
. I’m the oldest of three sisters. My baby is an eldest daughter born to an eldest daughter of an eldest daughter.
. I have never bought a new TV or laptop or computer. Some one is always upgrading.
. I rather like David Beckham (and my husband now owns quite a selection of David pants).
