I’m a little late with these photos. it was my first mothering sunday last week and we spent the day with my family. my parents, my sisters and their partners, my maternal grandparents, my mother’s siblings and some of their children. a real family day. it was lovely. some of these photos were taken by my Dad (the ones with me in) but I took the rest, again using my parents’ camera to practice my photography. the top one was the one I intended to use for my 10//52 post but I didn’t manage to post it on time and then I had to wait for my Dad to upload it to dropbox.
I asked my Dad to take some more photos of Pip with me, my Mum and my Grannie; four generations of daughters. I am the eldest daughter of an eldest daughter and it seemed fitting that Pip as my first born was also a girl. Anyway, here are some of the outtakes.
I must look out the photos that my Dad took of us four, several months ago, to compare. It really was so lovely to be able to spend mothering sunday with my mother, grandmother and godmother (my aunt) as well as my daughter. Pip sent her Dad out to get me a present which was a book of photographs by Slinkachu, which I hadn’t heard of before, which was both fascinating and beautiful photographs.
Pip has started pointing, as you can see from one of these photos, and shouting a variety of words which we can’t understand, but seem to mean something to her. She is also enthusiastically making the milk sign, pulling herself to standing easily and efficiently.
