Pinterest #PinItForwardUK

I’m really excited to be part of the UK launch of Pinterest today, #pinitforwardUK. If you haven’t heard about Pinterest before, it’s a tool for collecting and organising things that you love. I joined Pinterest way back in 2010 and have spent many a happy hour(s) getting lost in inspiration and beautiful images.

Basically, as you browse the web you can ‘pin’ things to your boards (which you can customise with your own names etc, and even have a secret board so no-one need know you are secretly dreaming of something) and use as a bookmarking system or simply a place to record beautiful things.

My favourite board, surprise, surprise, is my board where I pin all the things I would like for Pip, or inspiration for things I would like to make for Pip. The great thing is that all the pins link back to the source, so I can easily find things again and so people are properly credited for their images.

It was to this board that I pinned my tipi ideas, cake ideas and birthday crown ideas that I used as inspiration for Pip’s 1st birthday. I’ve also pinned knitted things that I liked and then worked with Pip’s Nana to make them come to fruition.
