it really doesn’t seem like as long as two years ago that I was trying to conceal my pregnancy from work for as long as possible (in the end I told my boss at 11 weeks and managed to hold out until 18 weeks to tell my colleagues – I was trying to make it past the 20 week scan but a combination of exhaustion, morning sickness and no longer fitting into any of my old clothes forced me to spill my secret earlier than I would have liked) and going to weddings of fine wine people where I was tormented by having to turn down some beautiful wines. I’ve really enjoyed reminiscing! Nor does it seem a year ago that Pip was almost 6 months old and we were starting swimming lessons. And yet, I am now a mother of a 17 month old who wants to use a potty, sleeps under a duvet and actually responds when I ask her a question… thank you for celebrating with me, and I look forward to recording more of my stories here over the next year.
Lastly, a quick update on two other projects: the working mum project kicked off last Wednesday (if you’d like to get involved see here or email me for more details) and I’ve failed enormously at the 30 day wardrobe challenge (too much to do, phone not able to take photos, not enough clothes to recycle professional weather appropriate new office appropriate outfits so having to repeat, the list is endless.) have any of you done better?
